What do you struggle with most?

What does your diet mainly consist of? Where do you feel you’re going wrong? I was taught the food pyramid when I was young. As I followed it I determined it works! I really ended up looking like the pyramid, NOT MY GOAL. I looked like a ball of bread with arms and legs. You are what you eat and I ate mainly carbs.

Every body is different. YOU have to determind YOUR weaknesses. I’ve tried many different changes to my life-style throughout the years. I’ve followed Weight Watchers, Daniel Fasting, Gluten Free, dabbled in a little Paleo, hard-core to lazy Ketogenetic Diet and even removed certain things completely. I have to identify my weaknesses and sometimes they change.

Weakness #1: BREAD

Oh how I LOVE the base of the pyramid. It loves me too. All those carbs fully commit and they stay loyal to me. So much so that it seems impossible to remove the “bread” from my body. If I make bread a staple in my regular consumption I’m guaranteed to weight 10 lbs more than I currently do. Bread is like sin in my life. It taste so good while indulging but leaves me feeling guilty, constipated and miserable. My first decision to change my life and eating habits I cried over, OUT WITH THE BREAD.

There is the bad news, but there is good news too! I started finding alternatives to bread. Check this out!

Keto Blueberry French Toast Casserole

This is my Keto Blueberry French Toast Casserole, low carb, no sugar! If you are familiar with Keto you can eat all the fat but stay extremely low carb and cut sugar. More about Keto on a separate post.

Where was I? Alternatives… right… I eat my burgers between lettuce, I cut out pizza, I found a Keto pizza dough that suffices. I eat pizza sometimes on special occasions. I eat lettuce wraps instead of sandwiches. Sometimes spinach or tomato basil tortilla wraps. (Xtreme Wellness ones are good) My weight began to reduce and reduce quickly.

I’m hoping to encourage you to determine your weakness, and help you find solutions to alternatives. To encourage you to keep up the fight, to fight the struggle and even when we have a bad day to continue to proceed towards your goal. Don’t let one day ruin your entire life. Take one day at a time.

On this site you can access free recipes to suit whatever life-style plan you follow, workouts to follow along with or do on your own time. Encouragement and inspiration are my goal. I can say I’ve been there. I put myself there and I’ve pushed myself out. I know the blame game, the guilt, the excuses, the lies, the struggle, even depression that came along with who I was. I know the fight, the tears, the pain, the constant thoughts all day long while on the journey for change. I believe in you. Now believe in yourself and start taking those next steps for change.

Ephesians 1:18-19 “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might…”
